Job Title Administrative and Communication Officer
Reports to ALOA Board
Objective:
Under the guidance of the ALOA president and board, the Administration and Communication Officer will have the major tasks of providing administrative and communication duties in timely manner.
Job Description
1 - Administrative Duties and Documentation
Provide administrative and general assistance to ALOA Board
Perform general office administrative duties such as handling calls, faxes and incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring an adequate level of office supplies
Handle minor accounting activities relating to ALOA Members and to project implemented by ALOA
Maintaining and updating the members database, filing,
Insure reporting for ALOA donors in accordance with donors' requirements and projects documents.
Provide administrative and organisational support to the 3 Pilot Projects implemented by FiBL in cooperation with ALOA for a period ending on June 30th 2008.
2 - Communication
Arrange internal meetings as requested by ALOA Board
Assist in preparing external meetings and workshops
Attend meetings and take minutes
Coordinate and facilitate events
Prepare press releases
Update ALOAs' Organic Directory
Assist in the elaboration of ALOAs, News Letter
Qualifications
Holds a technical or university degree in business or any related field.
Experience in performing administrative duties and reporting for minimum one year.
Experience in setting up and maintaining filing systems
Computer skills: good knowledge of Microsoft office tools and internet technology
Language: good command of English, French and Arabic
Able to handle office machines (fax, photocopier, computers )
