ALOA CODE OF ETHICS

 

The ALOA Code of Ethics is a statement of the common values of this Association. It is to guide us in the decisions we make as individuals and members and to assist us with our responsibilities to the principles of organic agriculture.

As members of the Association for Lebanese Organic Agriculture, we have responsibility to our sector, our region, our people and the Association. We strive to:

 

Preserve confidence in organic certifications and national organic production.

Actively promote and encourage the highest level of integrity within the organic sector.

Promote sustainable land-use systems.

Protect the environment and the responsible use of natural resources.

Adhere to honesty in advertising and in all representations to the public concerning organic agriculture and products.

Abide by national and international laws and regulations.

Promote and uphold respect and fairness for our employees, co-workers and suppliers.

Undertake positive resolution of disputes through mediation and informal reconciliation procedures.
